Yes. Res-Tech cockpits are not designed as generic industrial products, but are specifically engineered to provide a precise and ergonomic driving position. Among the available adjustments, the steering column can be adjusted along the X, Y and Z axes, with up to 25° of tilt. The seat and pedal positions can also be adjusted using the dedicated sliding rail, including their inclination. Depending on the selected mount, the monitor can be adjusted in both height and depth.

Res-Tech cockpits were developed around a fundamental principle: if the cockpit moves, the driver's inputs change as well. Rigidity is not merely an aesthetic feature, but a matter of precision and consistent lap times. Braking at the limit and using high-performance Direct Drive wheelbases require a stable and rigid supporting structure. For this reason, Res-Tech products incorporate proprietary technical solutions designed to ensure maximum rigidity and long-lasting performance.

There are several reasons. Industrial aluminum profiles are competitively priced because they are mass-produced. However, these profiles are designed for general-purpose applications rather than specifically for sim racing. As a result, thinner walls and standard internal structures may cause unwanted flexing and reduced simulator stability. Custom-designed profiles provide superior rigidity and consistent performance over time.

For a motion setup, we strongly recommend choosing an independent monitor stand that is separate from the cockpit structure. Alternatively, for a single-monitor setup with an integrated monitor mount, you can add the X1-GT MONITOR STIFFENING accessory to reduce vibrations and reinforce the monitor support.

Yes. All our cockpits (X1, GT, SMART and SIMPLY) are compatible with both PC and consoles. However, the X1 and GT cockpits are compatible with consoles only when used with Fanatec peripherals.
